The recent XXXX Queensland Maroons Regional Fan Day presented by Suncorp was a celebration of rugby league in the area and QRL Media were on hand to speak with some of the game's identities including Mackay Cutters coach Steve Sheppard.
The Intrust Super Cup mentor said he was thrilled to see the Maroons come to visit the city.
Speaking before last weekend's Round 15 bye - he shared his thoughts on how his team was going so far this season and also what challenges lay ahead.
Their Round 14 match finished in a 20-20 draw against the Blackhawks and Sheppard said he was pleased with the effort of his team have been putting in throughout the year.

The Cutters are back in action this weekend for Round 16 and will face off against Norths Devils at Bishop Park.
