Last night's series-levelling win was "remarkable", Maroons skipper Cameron Smith told QRL Media in the sheds shortly after the come-from-behind victory.

It was a win that had 'Queensland spirit" stamped all over it.

“To come from 16 to 6 down and win it the way we did was quite remarkable," said the rake, who played his 41st Origin match last night in Sydney.

“It needed some big plays and some special efforts and I thought everyone did that tonight.”

Now to Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on July 12 for the Game III decider.

"It's going to need to lift again for Game III for us to have any chance of winning the series.”
