His side’s win over Easts Tigers in their final last weekend also saw hooker Brandon Smith make a successful return from injury for the Falcons, making a game-high 36 tackles in his 70 minutes on the field.
The final between the PNG Hunters and Redcliffe Dolphins, defence was the order of the day with the Hunters scoring the only try of the match in their 6-4 win.
Interestingly halfback Watson Boas was the competition’s top tackler for the weekend, making 39.
