Falcons hooker Brandon Smith just pipped Dolphins backrow Aaron Whitchurch to make the most tackles in last Sunday's preliminary final.
Smith made 36 tackles in his 58 minutes on the field, while Whitchurch made 35 in his 80.
It was the second week in a row that the Melbourne Storm-contracted rake topped the count for his game, having also made 36 last weekend.
