Round 7 saw some exciting games to finish off the first part of the season with teams now breaking for the Easter school holidays.
In the Under 13 matches, the Tigers headed to the Gymmy Grounds and came away with a close win, getting home by two points, whilst Yeppoon and Brothers White also claimed wins before the break.
In the Under 14 competition, Norths were too strong for Tigers, Yeppoon defeated Woorabinda and Brothers Blue took the points against Brothers White.
Norths’ Under 15 side stamped their premiership credentials with a strong win over Tigers, whilst Yeppoon upset the high-flying Gracemere.
Yeppoon took the points in the Under 16 clash against Woorabinda, whilst Norths split the points in a highly-entertaining game at the Gymmy Grounds, kicking a conversion from the sideline to make it a 10-10 draw with Brothers.
In two very close Under 18 games, Cap Coast scored two late tries to defeat Norths Blue, whilst Norths White got home by four points in the game at the coast.
Clubs will now break for the Easter school holidays with clubs returning to the fields on Friday, April 20.
During the school holidays, the RDJRL will hold the sixth-annual headspace Charity Shield for the Under 14s at Victoria Park, on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7.
Sides are set to travel from Beaudesert, Gladstone, Maryborough and the Central Highlands to take on local clubs at the carnival.
We would like to wish everyone a safe holiday period and look forward to the remaining rounds in the new term.
