Country Week announcement imminent

Six Queensland towns which have never before hosted Intrust Super Cup fixtures will be announced as venues of 2018 'Get in the Game' Country Week.

At halftime in Saturday’s 1.10pm Channel Nine televised match between the Townsville Blackhawks and Tweed Heads Seagulls, Queensland Sports Minister, the Honourable Mick de Brenni, will reveal the eagerly awaited destinations.

'Get in the Game' Country Week has become one of the most loved weekends of rugby league across the state, as the Intrust Super Cup ventures to regions craving a taste of top-line football.

This year Country Week will fall in Round 19, the weekend of July 21-22.

The event delivers residents in rural and regional centres a form of entertainment and inspiration, while at the same providing a valuable experience for participating players as they give back to the community.

More than that, 'Get in the Game' Country Week also opens the eyes of the wider rugby league world to some possible holiday destinations they may not have otherwise considered.

Be sure to tune in Saturday for Channel Nine’s Intrust Super Cup coverage to learn straight from the source where the fixtures will be headed.

Where would you like to see the Intrust Super Cup venture to next?
