Team announcement Game III: All you need to know

The official Queensland Maroons team for Game III of the Holden State of Origin series will be announced on QRL.com.au at 9am tomorrow morning (July 1).

The QRL website will be the only place to see the official team first, with coach Kevin Walters and Queensland selectors Billy Slater, Darren Lockyer and Gene Miles finalising the team for the decider at ANZ Stadium.

They have been in contact with the NRL clubs with regards the injuries of players surrounding Round 15 of the NRL.

Some players being monitored include Michael Morgan following his concussion in North Queensland’s loss to St George Illawarra, while Kalyn Ponga (calf strain) did not play in Newcastle’s win over the Broncos.

One positive for Brisbane fans from the game was the impressive return to the field of forward Joe Ofahengaue who will be hoping he did enough to prove his fitness as he aims to add to his Game I appearance for the Maroons.

The players selected for Game III will assemble in camp in Brisbane tomorrow (Monday, July 1).

Queensland fans will be able to meet the team on Tuesday when they take part in a signing session at the Rebel store at Chermside at 2pm.

The decider will take place on Wednesday, July 10.
