Refreshed Melbourne Storm star Cameron Munster believes his side has "at least two more gears" it can find before the end of the season.
The Storm currently sit six points clear at the head of the Telstra Premiership ladder, but Munster knows the league leaders are yet to play their best football.
With just seven games to go before the end of the regular season Munster is backing the Storm to find their best form by the time the finals commence in the second week of September.
"I feel like we have at least two more gears, as we haven't played our best footy this year," Munster said at AAMI Park in Melbourne on Wednesday.
"I know in previous years we played some really good footy and we lost by two points or just lost a tight game.
"We haven't been playing great footy, but we have found a way to win which is exciting and pleasing for us as a team."

Munster has been busy juggling club and representative football over the past couple of months, but is now purely focused on his role with the Storm following an unsuccessful Origin campaign with the Maroons.
The Queenslander was rested from the Storm side that defeated the Titans 38-18 last round, but returns to the run-on side this week to take on the Sea Eagles at AAMI Park on Saturday.
Munster said the week off had given his body extra time to recover and has him focused on performing for the Storm for the remainder of the season.

"The body is really good," Munster said.
"The body was really good for the game against the Titans as well, but the coaching staff thought it was best for us to have a rest.
"I feel even better now. Ripe and ready for the back end of the year and hopefully to play some good footy."
The Sea Eagles enter Saturday's clash against the Storm in fifth place on the ladder and having hit a run of form that has seen them win four of their past five matches.
And Munster knows the Storm will need to be at their best if they are to maintain their advantage at the head of proceedings and inch one step closer to clinching a home semi-final in the first week of the playoffs.
"I am pretty sure they are one win away from the top four so hopefully we play some decent footy on Saturday and stop that," he said.
"We have got a bit job ahead of us on Saturday with the Trbojevic's and Daly Cherry-Evans ... so we know we are going to have a big task on our hands on Saturday."
