The halfway point of the BMD Premiership season has arrived, upping the intensity in what is already expected to be a fierce XXXX Rivalry Round this weekend.
With just four games left in the short season, teams will look to up the ante in a bid to amplify their finals chances.
As it stands, Souths Logan and Burleigh are both currently undefeated and sit in first and second on the ladder respectively.
Meanwhile, Mackay suffered their first loss of the season last week to Burleigh while the Brisbane Tigers and Wynnum Manly Seagulls both enjoyed their first wins of the year.
Wynnum Manly coach Ron Troutman knows it was a much-needed victory for his team - who played finals footy in their debut season in 2022 - but is also not putting any extra pressure on them as they start to approach the pointy end.
"Everyone was pretty happy with the way we went last week," he said of the 30-16 win over Norths.
"Watching it back, I was certainly a lot happier with the way we played than it felt on the day. I thought we missed a few opportunities and weren’t that crash hot and sure, there were a few things we missed, but overall we were pretty good.
"We were more connected, had a bit more energy and getting a win makes a big difference moving forward. They will be a lot more confident after getting that.
"We haven’t got too much into talking about where we stand at this point of the season, no. We’re taking it a week at a time and we’re looking after what we can fix and what we can do.
"I’m not stressing about the season. We haven’t been talking about it."

The Seagulls will look to go back-to-back this week coming up against the Brisbane Tigers.
The Tigers claimed their first win last week against Tweed, beating them 24-12.
Troutman said he's expecting a "nice, tight battle" against Adrian Vowles' side.
"For us, we have to fix a lot of areas where we were poor," Troutman said.
"Getting our completion rate and execution up will be really important for us. When we did hold the ball we looked really good but there’s a lot of silly errors."
The only two teams yet to register a win in the BMD Premiership this year are Norths - who have recorded a draw against the Tigers - and Tweed.
Tweed will face an almighty battle in their Gold Coast rivalry clash with the Burleigh Bears on Saturday.
