The intensity is high in Hostplus Cup and the pressure of looming finals is resulting in some big performances across the competition.
Round 21 saw three teams fall out of finals contention as Sunshine Coast Falcons and Tweed Seagulls upped the ante to remain in the mix for the top eight, with players in both teams starring over the weekend.
Competition leaders Souths Logan Magpies meanwhile flexed their muscle as they moved one step closer to locking up this year's minor premiership with a statement win over Wynnum Manly Seagulls. But Burleigh Bears certainly can't be ruled out yet after they also notched up a strong victory against Mackay Cutters.
Fullback Tristan Sailor was one of the stars for the Magpies, with an almighty attacking effort earning him this week's captaincy for the Hostplus Cup Team of the Week.
And fellow No.1 Trai Fuller edged closer to a possible NRL debut with an impressive turnout for the Redcliffe Dolphins, picking up the Hastings Deering player of the week honours as the Dolphins moved back into the top four.
Each round, Queensland Rugby League recognises the 17 best performers and names the Hostplus Cup Team of the Week, presented by Hostplus. These team selections are based not only on statistical data, but also take on board live and broadcast viewings of the games.
