It is important to know that the QRL is committed to the safety of all our participants and appreciate your cooperation while we are working through this Public Health Alert.

Wednesday July 1, 2020

Following advice from the Queensland Government that Stage 3 restrictions have been brought forward to July 3, 2020, it is important that clubs consider the below points to ensure that your club is compliant with the current Industry COVIDSafe Plan:

  • Resumption of full contact training and competition can resume from 12pm July 3 – noting the required minimum two-week conditioning period prior to competition for participants aged 13+
  • Off-field attendance numbers restricted to one person per four square metres at all venues until further advice
  • All people attending venues must be tracked via an attendance register, including self-assessment of physical symptoms
  • Maintenance of all existing protocols regarding sanitation and hygiene, including the provision of appropriate signage
  • Continuation of the COVIDSafe coordinator role operating in accordance with the club's revised plan

Queensland Rugby League has invested in EVA check-in to assist COVIDSafe coordinators with the implementation of their plans and reduce the administration burden these restrictions have placed on our volunteers.

This system will allow visitors and participants to check-in safely, quickly and contact-free on their phones by scanning a QR code on a poster displayed at the entry and exit points of each venue.

To support this process, QRL has created an instructional poster which will be forwarded to each club so it can be printed and displayed alongside the EVA check-in poster.

Currently, our community rugby league team is working with clubs and leagues to gather data to support the configuration of the EVA check-in system and will be providing access and system training to each club's COVIDSafe co-ordinator.

QRL is committed to resuming training and games with the safety of our participants, volunteers and their families our number one priority at this time.
