If you were to nominate two Queensland Residents players with the ability to turn a match on its head, Jake Granville and Hezron Murgha would be two names that would pop up in many discussions.
With that in mind, its quite appropriate that the gifted pair is spending a lot of time together in the lead up to Wednesdays representative clash against the NSW Cup team at ANZ Stadium.
Im rooming with the fullback Hezron Murgha and hes a good fella, Granville told QRL TV.
Yarrabah product Murgha, who recently signed a two-year contract with the North Queensland Cowboys, is making a massive impact in this year's Intrust Super Cup.
But Murgha is a quiet figure off the field and is happy to leave the banter to Wynnum Manly duo Peter Gubb and Granville.
Gubbys a bit of a character. Hes fascinated with bull sharks for some reason, Granville laughed.
Granville said the Queensland players were able to take a lot away from their opposed session with the XXXX Maroons Origin team at Coolum yesterday.
It was pretty intense, it was a good experience for a lot of us, Granville said.
Theyre probably the worlds best team so it was good to have a run against them.
Ive played once at ANZ (Stadium for the Broncos), its a bit of a slippery track down there. Theyll be pretty vocal and it will be a good test for us.
