The XXXX Queensland Maroons carried out a pre-game tradition last night when key forward Sam Thaiday was presented with the Dick Tosser Turner Medal.

Teammates Brent Tate and Greg Inglis presented Thaiday with the medal following last nights dinner at the teams Parramatta hotel.

The medal is given to team members who play 20 Origin matches.

Thaiday will chalk up his 20th Origin match for the Maroons in tonights deciding match of the 2013 series at Sydneys ANZ Stadium.

Tate and Inglis were the most recent Maroons to reach the 20 game milestones.

The Maroons completed their preparations this morning with a light walk and stretch outside the team hotel.

Assistant coach Michael Hagan said all players were fully fit and were looking forward to tonights challenge in front of more than 80,000 fans.
