AN exhilarating tightrope walk to the finals stands before Wests Mitchelton rugby league club, set to host an Old Boys reunion this Saturday.
Reigning premiers in Northside 2 division, the Panthers have had a nail-biting season since being promoted to Northside 1, with all but three games decided by less than a converted try.
Their latest result a 16-all draw with Brothers means fourth-placed Mitchy can ill afford a slip in their remaining two fixture games against North Lakes and Dayboro.
The Panthers shot themselves in the foot against the Brethren, leading 16-8 with 10 minutes remaining before conceding a converted try and a penalty in front.

Earlier in the match centre Jackson Hooper shone, scoring a 95m intercept try, with further tries from forward James Bannerman and fullback Nick Kisi.
As the tight Northside 1 ladder stands, Valleys leads on 23 points, with Natives (22), Dayboro (21) and Mitchelton (20) rounding out the top four.
However Brothers (19pts) and Albany Creek-based Christian Lions (17pts) are waiting to pounce.
The Panthers expect to have a bumper crowd this weekend at Frank Lind Oval, with the club hosting a reunion for all former players, officials and supporters.
Proceedings begin with Mitchys second-placed Northside 3 team taking on Banyo at 1.30pm and then the big Northside 1 clash against North Lakes at 3pm.
