WYNNUM Manly Seagulls fan Justin Tyndall is the winner of this years QRL Tipping competition.

Justin didnt have a lot to cheer about when his beloved Seagulls went down to the Ipswich Jets in the elimination final, but his luck took a turn for the better today when informed of his victory in the tipping competition.

The Sunnybank resident finished in equal first on 218 points alongside North Queenslands Shane Howton.

But Justin won the overall prize after QRL chief executive Robert Moore drew his name from a hat in accordance with the competition rules.

For his efforts, Justin receives two NRL grand final tickets, two nights accommodation in Sydney and return airfares for two people.

Justin, 35, will take his partner Georgina to Sydney for the big game.

He said he was stoked to win the competition after following up a third placed finish in 2011 with a hopeless campaign in 2012.

I had no set routine or formula ... I just checked whos in and out (of the team line-ups), he said.

He also wins two VIP tickets to the Intrust Super Cup grand final on Sunday, September 29 at the North Ipswich Reserve.

The winner of the bonus draw prize from the Weekly Winners is Shane Pearse, who receives two VIP tickets to the Intrust Super Cup grand final.
