THE Cairns District Womens Rugby League will host a Women and Girls Rugby League Carnival on Thursday, October 3.
Held during the week leading up to the NRL grand final it will be a celebration of football with members of the World Cup winning Jillaroos squad in attendance.
The carnival will also feature a focus on the basics of the game, with tackling skills and tackle games included amongst the drills.
Taking place at the kangaroos Sporting Complex (Vico Oval, Irene Street, Mooroobool in Cairns); the day will be divided into two parts with the Under 16 girls section to begin at 3pm and the Womens section to start at 5pm.
