The QRL Central Division is once again holding a Development Camp for players who are going to be in under 13 to 16 in 2014.
These camps have been running since 2010 and numbers have been growing every year. The camp is an opportunity for players to develop their skills in rugby league and work with NRL Development staff.
The camps have been an institution for the QRL with camps being held for the past 27 years in Townsville and South East Queensland with many Origin players having attended to assist with their development.
The numbers for the camp are limited so interested players are advised to act quickly. The camp will run from December 16-20 and will be held at the PCYC Leadership and Development Camp at Cooee Bay (former Cooee Bay Recreational Centre).
The camp will also provide an opportunity for coaches to extend their knowledge and complete the Senior Club Coach Course. Coaches wishing to find out more information need to speak with their local NRL Development Officer for pre-requisites.
This year the camp will also have referees in attendance to assist with their development. The referees will be run through all facets of refereeing. The participants will work on positioning, rules of the game, healthy eating and also physical conditioning. NRL Referee Development Officers will be taking the participants through their paces.
