MAREEBA Gladiators RLFC, playing in the Cairns District Rugby League competition, is calling for applications for captain-coach/coach vacancies for the 2014 Season for A Grade, Reserve Grade and Under 18s.
The Tablelands club, which won the CDRL Reserve Grade competition last year and reached the A Grade finals, is also looking for players for its A Grade side.
Gladiators President John Arcidiacono said the club hoped to attract a high-quality A Grade coach to replace Rod Jensen, who has linked up with former North Queensland Cowboys and Northern Pride teammate Ty Williams at the Innisfail Leprechauns.
The successful applicant will be employed by the club to undertake the Head Coach role of our A Grade team, and supervise and assist with coaching of A Reserve, C Grade and Under 18 teams, Mr Arcidiacono said.
We also hope to attract A Grade players wanting to further their playing careers to a higher level, as we provide quality coaching and give our players the best opportunity to improve not only as footballer, but as individuals too.
Our aim as a club is to provide the best opportunity for our junior players, and to have our junior players look up to our senior playing squad.
Applications (including resume and remuneration for the A Grade coach position) should be sent to:
The Secretary
Mareeba Rugby League Club
Doyle Street
Mareeba QLD 4880
