The Ivanhoes U15s had a bye last weekend, however a last minute change to the draw saw them play Yarrabah Seahawks in front of an ever supporting home crowd.

Ivanhoes looked confident as they ran out on to the field and that confidence soon produced their first try of the game. That try gave the boys the boost they needed to dig deep and continue to put points on the board for the remainder of the game.

The Seahawks were not going to go down without getting some points on the scoreboard themselves and they too dug deep managing to find the try line on two occasions, however they only had one successful conversion.

The final score saw Ivanhoes on 34 points and Yarrabah Seahawks on 10. The win was the Ivanhoes team’s first win in approximately two and a half years. Coach Paul Dooley was ecstatic with how the boys played especially as he was not sure whether he was going to make the game, due to illness. This week the Ivanhoes boys are preparing to take on Tully in Tully. Good luck boys!
