FOLLOWING their final training run on Thursday night, Brisbane rugby league identity Amen Gutugutuwai and daughter Liza Carter presented Brisbane Second Division Rugby League representative captains Trent Shield (Under 20) and Cameron Joyce (Opens) with their 2014 jerseys in time for this weekend’s SEQ Chairman’s XXXX Challenge.
Acknowledging the fight that former QRL and BSDRL employee Janice Gutugutuwai (daughter of Amen and sister to Liza) has with DSRCT, Brisbane Second Division Rugby League Under 20s and Open teams will wear the logo proudly, supporting her in her battle.
They will be hoping to find some of the strength she and her family have displayed when they face their own battle with Gold Coast and Ipswich in the 2014 Chairman’s XXXX Challenge this weekend.
