THE Queensland Rugby League would like to offer their condolences to the Gutugutuwai family following the passing of fellow QRL and Brisbane Second Division Rugby League employee Janice Gutugutuwai.
Jannie passed away on Wednesday night peacefully surrounded by her close family after a long battle with cancer.
The Brisbane Second Division teams last weekend wore DSRCT jerseys with pride in the Chairman’s Challenge to honour her and dedicated their win to Janice. Janice truly loved rugby league and shall be missed by so many involved in the greatest game of all.
Full details of her farewell service will be posted at a later time. Her family will also announce details and commencement of the reguregu (traditional Fijian ceremony) and condolence gathering at the family home in Brisbane.
A truly beautiful person, RIP Janice Gutugutuwai.

Jannie’s funeral service will be at 10am on Saturday, May 31, at the Church of Christ, 178 Springwood Road, Springwood.

You can drive down the driveway on the left to the car park. The church is located at the rear. There is also parking located off Parfrey Road at the roundabout. Turn right and there is an entrance into the car park. The church can be accessed from there however there are stairs there to be negotiated.
Afterwards: There will be light refreshments, tea and coffee provided.
Jannie had also requested people wear colours to her funeral, so come in your best and brightest.
