Last weekend saw the Central West Fillies travel all the way to Charleville to take on the Western Wallabies.

It was the first game for Western Wallabies and they got off to a great start with a try within the first five minutes of play. Fillies nerves were high and this showed with a few mistakes and missed tackles before settling with captain Grace Jones scoring underneath the posts.

Tries were traded before Fillies settled into their game plan and went on a scoring spree. Kaliah Rogers was a standout, scoring four tries and kicking all her conversions.

Kaliah was backed up by Brodie Jackson, Charleigh Robinson, Holly Blyth and Bec Bischel.

All the ladies played really well especially first timer Calissa Dywer. Thanks goes to Tash who filled in from Wallabies due to Fillies being short on numbers along with Shadee (who is from Sydney and was in Charleville visiting friends when she heard the Fillies were short on players).

Well done to the Fillies and thanks to Charleville for their wonderful hospitality! We now look forward to the rematch to be held in Blackall on June, 21 as part of the Outback Muster.
