Dimitri Pelo has taken out the Burleigh Bears Player of the Year for the 2014 season.

Pelo finished two points clear of Mark Ioane and Ryley Jacks.

Normally a centre or winger, Pelo was a revelation when he was forced to move into the hooking role after injuries to regular hookers Matt Keating, Nafe Seluini and Sam Meskell mid season.

Kyle McConnell, who is off to the North Queensland Cowboys, took out the rookie of the year award.
