A rest day in Rockhampton has proved the perfect tonic for Trevor Gillmeister and his devoted crew.

Gilly is trekking 1300km from Townsville to Brisbane in his “Walk for Awareness – Taking an Axe to Asbestos”.

With former Queensland Origin teammate Mark Hohn by his side, Gilly has arrived in Gladstone via Raglan.

Hohn linked up with The Axe for the 55km walk from Rockhampton to Raglan.

Gilly was in high spirits after a much needed rest day in Rocky.

“The feet and legs feel so much better. Sandra and I enjoyed our rest day with a massage and hydro spa from Trish and Daniel at Flawless Skin & Body on Elphinstone St in Rocky,” Gilly said.

“Ahh we need more of these!”
