Chairman John Glanville, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the Absolute Enterprises Mackay Cutters, is pleased to announce that Ross Aldridge has accepted a two year appointment as the new Chief Executive Officer of the club.

Aldridge joins the Cutters following a significant stint in the mining and resource sector, most recently with G&S Engineering Services.  While a vastly different industry to semi-professional sport, Mr Glanville indicated that Aldridge was an exceptional appointment with all the qualities required to be successful in the role.

"As a Board we have been working through this appointment for a number of weeks.  In many ways we are very fortunate to have someone with Ross's experience in business and management with such a passion for the role,"  Mr Glanville said.

"We are confident that Ross will continue to move the club forward, particularly in relation to finalising stadium management arrangements with the Council and Stadium Board."

Aldridge was as expected excited about the new opportunity.

"I have been involved in the mining industry since I was 22-years-old," Aldridge said.

"This new challenge excites me and I am looking forward to getting my feet under the desk.  I have always been involved in Rugby League in some capacity so the opportunity to work in the game full time is something that has inspired me to take up the opportunity."
