Queensland Rugby League wish to pass on its condolences to the family and friends of Dan Tanner who passed away aged 91.

Dan devoted many years of service to the game of rugby league, fulfilling a variety of roles. He was a Queensland and Australian selector and a Life Member of Wide Bay.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, May 25.

Late of Winston House Aged Care Centre and formerly of Smerdon Road, Gympie. Passed away peacefully, May 6, 2015. Aged 91 years beloved husband of Jean.

Lovingly remembered by all of his family and many friends. Relatives and friends of Dan, Jean and family, are respectfully invited to attend a Requiem Mass in Celebration and Thanksgiving for Dan's life, to be held in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Church Street, Gympie, on Monday, May 25, 2015, at 1pm, followed by a Committal Service at the Gympie Cemetery.
