The Queensland Rugby League has today announced an 18-player squad to represent the Queensland Women’s team in their upcoming Interstate Challenge match against New South Wales.

The game will be played at Townsville’s 1300SMILES Stadium on June 27 as the curtain-raiser to the Round 16 NRL match between the North Queensland Cowboys and Cronulla Sharks.

The Queensland Women’s team have never been defeated by NSW since the interstate concept began in 1999 and have held the Nellie Doherty Cup since it was established in 2004.

This year’s team was selected following the conclusion of the Women’s State Divisional Carnival which was held at Southport this past weekend.
