Now entering its third year of existence, Latin Heat is an organisation which promotes social, career and health opportunities through one of Australia's favourite sports.

The organisation is 100% volunteer-run and aims to assist Latin American nations qualify for future Rugby League World Cups, running teams for both children and adults.

Players of Latino heritage are currently being invited to participate in the following events:

REDFERN NINES (born 1997, 1998) - September 19, Sydney

LATINO MEN'S NINES (ages 17+) - October 3, Sydney

HARMONY CUP (born 1999, 2000, 2001) - October 10, Sydney

Training and trials in Queensland will be held this Sunday, August 16 at Brothers St Brendan's RLFC (Tramore Street, Rocklea) from 10am.

There is no cost to attend.

To qualify, players must have heritage (as far back as grandparents) in one of the following nations: 

Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela.
