Last Saturday night (October 24), the Rockhampton Rugby League Referees Association held its annual awards dinner which also incorporated a referee’s reunion.
The night attracted approximately 100 people with some old stories told during the night.
The night was also highlighted by the return of former Rockhampton junior referee and current NRL squad member Belinda Sleeman.
Belinda spoke about her journey through the ranks and the opportunities she received through hard work, dedication and relocation to gain her dream of participating in the top level of refereeing in the NRL system.
