An impressive all-round performance from Northern Pride veteran Ben Spina helped his side record an important upset win over the Burleigh Bears last weekend.
Spina - who made 41 tackles in the match and made 147m via 19 runs - is a key leader at the club and will need to be in his game if his side are to push ahead in their elusive quest for a finals berth.
This weekend, the Pride will come up against the Townsville Blackhawks in a northern derby - where fellow front row forward Corey Jensen produced a great performance last weekend in his side's come-from-behind win over the Mackay Cutters.
Jensen topped the tackle count with 50 and also contributed by running for 178m.
