This year a total of 19 teams have participated in the SEQ competitions in two age groups – under 14’s and also the under 17’s, with a total of twelve teams playing in the 14’s formation over the season. This increase in younger age teams this season is a boost to increase our overall participation in the girls’ game for the future.
The 12 teams have been divided in to three Divisions – A, B and C grade for the finals series. Waterford qualified two teams for the Division A finals in a great achievement for the club, and its overall support for the game. While Redbank Plains’ two teams have qualified in the Division B finals. The winners from each semi-final will meet in the Grand Final, which is to be hosted by Beenleigh JRLFC next Saturday 27th August.
In the under 17’s grade, two Divisions have been formed for the finals series. The winners from each semi-final will meet in the grand final for the Division One title. With three teams only in the second Division, Norths Ipswich will have a Bye this weekend before meeting the winner from Beenleigh – Greenbank in the grand final decider.
