Round 4 started another big weekend of footy in Rockhampton with the juniors giving fans action on Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

Last weekend, the Under 13 grade seemed to be a Brethren domination. Rockhampton Brothers Blue and White got away with the points while Cap Coast Brothers had to fight extremely hard against a strong Norths outfit.

In the Under 14s, Gracemere just keep rolling along with a win over the Tigers, Norths had a tough struggle against Cap Coast Brothers and Rocky Brothers continue their good form despite their coach on the Gold Coast over the weekend at the annual NRL Masters Carnival.

The Yeppoon Under 15s bounced back with a very tight win over Fitzroy's, Norths seem to be putting everything together with a good win over Cap Coast whilst the rivalry between Brothers and Tigers produced another great game with Brothers just getting away with the win.

The Under 16 age group has thrown up some interesting results. Last year’s premiers Fitzroy’s suffered their first defeat in a long time at the hands of Brothers White, Brothers Blue were too good for Emu Park whilst Cap Coast and Norths couldn't be separated after 60 minutes with a 16-16 draw.

The Under 18 Norths v Cap Coast game was affected by the Mal Meninga match between the Capras and Redcliffe the following day with several players unavailable. Norths were just good enough to hold on whilst Emu Park are making a real impression on this competition with another solid win over Brothers.

GAMES TO WATCH IN ROUND 5

This week’s Round 5 action kicks off on Friday night with the battle of the beaches at Barmaryee.

The Under 13 game between Yeppoon and Cap Coast will be a real tight affair. Cap Coast have continued their good form defeating a determined Norths outfit last week while Yeppoon come in fresh off a bye. Look for plenty of great defence in this game.

The Under 14 Yeppoon v Cap Coast game will be another willing affair. Cap Coast stuck it to the Knights last week and if they bring that form into this game, they could get away with a win over the Seagulls who are coming off a bye.

The Fitzroy’s v Brothers Under 15s game at Browne Park will be a tight affair. Brothers scrapped home against the Tigers last week whilst Fitzroy’s almost rolled the Yeppoon Seagulls. These sides have form and are traditionally close games.

The Under 16 Emu Park v Norths game should provide plenty of entertainment as both sides are coming off close losses last week and will look to make up some ground on the table leaders.

The Emu Park v Norths Under 18 game will see one of these sides take top spot. Norths defeated a very good Cap Coast side last week in a close affair whilst Emu Park were very strong at home against Brothers. Plenty of points will be on offer here as both sides play off for the top.
