New Maroon Tim Glasby was sitting on the couch with his "little fella" when coach Kevin Walters called to break the news he'd made the Queensland side.
"So I had to hand him over to the wife and have a chat with Kevvie. It was pretty amazing.”
The Storm forward said he was looking forward to Game II in Sydney (June 21) and to running out in the Maroon jersey he'd idolised since boyhood.
"I just can’t wait to get out there and rip into the Blues."
