Brittany Breayley claimed the Queensland Women's Representative top award for the second year running at the QRL Major Competition Awards gala dinner.

The Player of the Year was humbled by the honour saying she felt that any number of her fellow team-mates could have been named the winner.

While it was tough loss for the Queensland Women this year, Breayley was a strong performer in the side and is also a popular member of the team.

"We didn't get the result we wanted and trained really hard for," Breayley told host Kimberley Busteed when she accepted her award on stage.

The Ipswich Brothers hooker however also spoke about turning her focus to the upcoming World Cup with the Jillaroos later in the year, with games kicking off on November 16.

The evening also featured a tribute to two retiring greats of the Women's game, with Renae Kunst and Steph Hancock receiving special acknowledgement for their contribution to the game.
