Lachlan Coote has been named to return from injury for the Mackay Cutters in this weekend’s Intrust Super Cup clash against the Northern Pride.

Having missed the opening rounds of the NRL season through a hamstring strain, the 2015 NRL grand final winner has been scheduled to trot out in Cutters colours at 6pm Saturday at Barlow Park.

Coote previously played for the Pride, another of the Intrust Super Cup affiliates of the Cowboys.

A Scottish international, he has played 158 NRL matches since debuting in 2008.

Mackay is currently running second-last in the Intrust Super Cup, while Northern Pride are in third spot.

More information and full team lists to follow this afternoon.
