Meet the Maroons in Queen Street

The Queensland Maroons will make their first public appearance this year in the Queen Street Mall on Wednesday, May 30.

In conjunction with ISC and rebel, the QRL is pleased to confirm the Maroons team will visit the city centre from 12.30pm to 2pm, just a week out from the opening match of the Holden State of Origin Series in Melbourne.

Fans eager to join in the fun are encouraged to head to Queen Street for a special announcement before the full squad arrives.

From 11.30am, the QRL and ISC will publicly unveil a new training jersey which the Maroons will don in the lead up to the Origin I blockbuster at the MCG. The jersey will be available to purchase from maroonsshop.com and rebel.

A handful of the Maroons' biggest names and other special guests will be on hand for the unveiling before the full squad arrives at 12.30pm.

While on stage, the team will sign autographs and take part in a Q & A, giving fans a direct insight into the team's early Origin preparations.

To ensure as many fans as possible have access to their favourite players, each person will be permitted to carry one item only for signatures.

Following the appearance, the players and coaching staff will set off for Camp Maroon on the Gold Coast.

In the lead up to Game III, the Maroons will travel to Hervey Bay for their annual regional Fan Day on July 3.
