Cowboys prop Matt Scott.

Cowboys and Queensland prop Matt Scott is facing a one-match ban over a shoulder charge but Storm forward Felise Kaufusi will be free to play State of Origin I for the Maroons after escaping a charge for a so-called cannonball tackle.

North Queensland co-captain Scott is set to miss one match with a grade one shoulder charge, even with a seven-years incident-free discount, unless he successfully defends the charge at the judiciary this week.

Meanwhile Melbourne's Sam Kasiano is also facing a one-match ban for dangerous contact on Cowboys halfback Johnathan Thurston.
