Warwick & District set for ALIVE Round

Raising funds to assist the delivery of life-saving emotional and mental wellbeing services to players across the game is the focus of this weekend's third-annual ALIVE Round in the Warwick and District Junior Rugby League.

The ALIVE team will have crews visiting Stanthorpe, Warwick, Tenterfield and Goondiwindi to support these fundraising efforts.

Founder and CEO of the ALIVE Project Tamsyn Rosenberg says the partnership with QRL helps players thrive on and off the field.

"Working with players to handle the ups and downs in life and in the game not only improves their game, but how they handle all of life," said Rosenberg.

"Our partnership with the QRL enables us to empower a more resilient generation and ultimately helps us to end youth suicide and help every young person thrive."

Gold coin donations, merchandise sales and information will be available at each Warwick & District JRL club this weekend.

"We encourage you to get on board in any way you can," Rosenberg added.

"Thank you to all the teams who got involved this season.

"We aim to have a statewide ALIVE Round next year and look forward to creating more resilient communities together."

More than $2,000 has already been raised and that number is hoped to multiply following the fundraising efforts in the area this weekend.
