Winning records of GF rivals is unmatched

Sunday's Intrust Super Cup grand final will be a battle between the two winningest clubs in the history of the competition.

Redcliffe has both the most premierships and the most match wins since the modern State League began in 1996.

Altogether the Dolphins have won 344 games to go with their five premierships and 11 previous grand finals appearances.

Easts is ranked second for all-time wins with 291 victories and four previous Intrust Super Cup grand final appearances.

It's no secret that the Tigers are yet to grab their first premiership in the modern Cup, despite having a rich history in preceding competitions throughout Queensland and Brisbane.

Third on the list of all-time wins for clubs is Burleigh, which has 281 wins.

The Bears were eliminated by the Tigers last week in the preliminary final.

Redcliffe and Easts have met in one previous Intrust Super Cup decider, in 1997, where Redcliffe prevailed 18-16 with a kick after the siren.

That year was a sensational one for rivalry between the Dolphins and Tigers, with the clubs playing in Reserve Grade and Under 19s grand finals on the same day.
