Phins go straight in, Gulls to face Wests

The Redcliffe Dolphins became the first team into the BRL A Grade In Safe Hands grand final this weekend after securing a close in over West Brisbane Panthers in their major semi-final.

Aided by two tries from Intrust Super Cup experienced fullback Tony Tumusa; the Phins scored five tries to four to lock in the win and their third straight grand final appearance.

The Panthers will next meet the Seagulls who proved too strong for the Tigers 31-20. 

Halfback Mitch Moore scored two tries in the win with veteran John Te Reo scoring 15 individual points with a try, five goals and a field goal.

Major Semi Final: Dolphins 26 (Tony Tumusa 2, Will Partridge, Tristan Hope, Scott Schulte tries; Will Partridge 3 goals) defeated West Brisbane Panthers 22 (James Olds, Kyle Van Klaveren, Zach Strasser, Billy Rogers tries; Kyle Van Klaveren 3 goals)
