Join the QRL's Game Day Operations team

Do you love rugby league and want to be more involved with the greatest game of all?

The Football Department are looking for enthusiastic people to apply to be part of the QRL’s Major Competitions Game Day Operations Team in 2019.*

Applications to be part of the team as either a QRL Ground Manager or QRL Interchange Official open today (November 5, 2018) and interested applicants will have until December 1, 2018 to apply.

These are key positions that are essential to ensure the efficient running of the QRL’s flagship competitions – the Intrust Super Cup, Hastings Deering Colts and Mal Meninga Cup.

QRL Major Competitions Game Day Operations team members are required at home venues that host the 15 Major Competitions clubs.

It is essential that all applicants will: know how to function an iPad device and will have an understanding (or be willing to learn) game day policy and procedure.

All successful applicants must also be able to commit to one to three (1-3) games on an average game day (generally Saturday or Sunday during the season) and align their schedule to be available for all required matches.

QRL Ground Manager role and duties

The QRL Ground Manager will perform as the central game day resource and the various responsibilities include completing venue facilities checks, co-ordinating the game day management system and consulting all Team Managers on compliance expectations prior to each match (ie two-minute warnings, training fields, team list submission requirements). QRL Interchange Official role and duties

The QRL Interchange Official will perform as the bench coordinator in assistance to the QRL Ground Manager and will facilitate all interchanges. The key skills and qualities of the preferred applicant include being a great communicator, competent with technology (ie functioning an iPad, connecting to Wi-Fi source) and exceptional at time management. NOTE: The recent introduction of a concussive management system means that a new role for the QRL Major Competitions will be trialled - QRL HIA Official.

There are also opportunities for committed team members to be involved in QRL Major Competition events in future – such as representative game days and Intrust Super Cup grand final day. (See above main image for some of the staff who were involved in the 2018 grand final day event)

•             Fill in all details and click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the application form

•             Applications close date: Saturday, December 1, 2018
