Storm: Jahrome Hughes takes Billy Slater's old No.1 jersey with Scott Drinkwater sidelined through injury, while Kenny Bromwich starts in place of the injured Joe Stimson (back). Thomas Eisenhuth came onto the interchange bench when sides were finalised an hour before kick off and Patrick Kaufusi dropped out. It is seven years since 26-year-old Eisenhuth played his lone NRL game for Penrith. Billy Walters and Marion Seve had been removed from the extended bench 24 hours before kick-off.

Broncos: The Broncos are 1-17 for their season opener with Matt Gillett returning from his neck injury at lock and Jack Bird also back from injury in the centres. Alex Glenn and Jaydn Su'A start in the second row, with David Fifita on the bench alongside rookie Tom Flegler and Tevita Pangai jnr. Patrick Carrigan and Gehamat Shibasaki dropped off the extended bench on Wednesday.

Panthers: In a string of positional changes announced an hour before kick-off, Moses Leota (prop) and Hame Sele (second row) have been added to the starting side, with Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Jack Hetherington to start on the bench. Sione Katoa (concussion) was ruled out on Saturday, with Wade Egan to start at hooker and Jarome Luai the new utility on the bench. Titans: Ash Taylor, who had been in doubt all week with a quadriceps complaint, was a late scratching for the clash with AJ Brimson elevated to the halves alongside Tyrone Roberts. Dale Copley has been promoted to the four-man interchange. Ryan James has declared himself a certain starter for the clash after overcoming a knee injury. New recruit Tyrone Peachey has scored seven tries in his past six games against the Raiders. Mitch Rein and Keegan Hipgrave were cut from the 21-man squad on Saturday afternoon. Anthony Don was omitted from the reserves list an hour before kick-off.

Raiders: Dunamis Lui will start with Sia Soliola coming off the bench, otherwise the Green Machine is 1-17. Joey Leilua (hamstring) and John Bateman (side strain) have been declared fit to play. The Raiders require just six points for 20,000 points scored since entering the premiership in 1982. The two players cut from the squad 24 hours before kick-off were Luke Bateman and JJ Collins while Jack Murchie and Sam Williams suffered the same fate an hour before kick-off.
