Represent with the Queensland Universities team

Applications are now open for the this year’s Queensland Universities team that will play NSW Universities in a match to select an international touring side.

The representative match will be played at noon on Saturday, May 11 at Langlands Park, the home of the Easts Tigers in Brisbane.

The team will be coached by former Norths Devils Intrust Super Cup head coach Mark Gliddon, who will be assisted by Jody Barlow.

From this match, an Australian Universities team to travel to Fiji in October will be chosen.

The team camp for the Queensland Universities team will start late afternoon on Tuesday, May 7 and will break on Sunday May 12, following the entire team attending Suncorp Stadium for Day 3 of the NRL’s Magic Round on Saturday night.

To be eligible, players must be studying at a university, private college or with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

A financial commitment of between $500 and $700 will be levied on each player, but will cover the cost of all training and playing gear, strapping, meals, accommodation and the ticket to The Magic Round.

The Universities Rugby League Queensland encourages all eligible players to apply through the link below, and to alert any qualified parties of this opportunity.
