Mackay All Abilities gala day to kick start new competition

Youngsters and adults of all abilities in the region will now have the opportunity to showcase their skills and join in on the fun of rugby league.

Mackay & District Rugby League has decided to revive the Special Needs and Disabilities competition after a successful season last year and will host a 'come and try' rugby league gala day this Wednesday (April 3) at BB Print Stadium in Mackay.

The gala day is designed to promote fun, mateship, participation and a love of the game for people with disabilities.

The come and try day will be held as a showcase to introduce new people to the game before Round 1 kicks off on April 27.
