The long-awaited duel between rival halfbacks Allan Langer and Ricky Stuart finishes even, although the Broncos defeat the Raiders 12-10 at ANZ Stadium.

Manly produce a memorable win over Sydney City at Brookvale Oval. Trailing 18-0 after 18 minutes, the Sea Eagles storm back to win 34-24. Roosters coach Phil Gould is furious with Manly’s tactics, which he says, were deliberately aimed at “taking out” the player kicking the ball.

2008

Former Bulldog Willie Mason scores two tries for his new club as the Sydney Roosters belted the Bulldogs 40-12 in the most hyped match in years. Big Willie had played 148 games for the blue and whites between 2000-07 and won a premiership in 2004 but come 2008 and he was riding roughshod over his old team in front of 36,526 fans at ANZ Stadium.

2014

Broncos co-captain Corey Parker becomes only the sixth forward in premiership history to score 1000 points. By the time he called it a day in 2016, Parker had amassed 1328 points in 347 games for Brisbane.

2017

Cooper Cronk makes a bombshell announcement by calling time on his career with the Storm at the end of the season and revealing plans to relocate to Sydney to be with his fiancée Tara Rushton.
