No footy played, but teams can still enjoy 'Nate on Nade'
The Under 13 Nate Myles Cup, which was scheduled to be held this weekend at Alley Park hosted by Southern Suburbs Junior Rugby League, has been cancelled due to continuous wet weather.
Southern Suburbs JRL have decided to host a barbecue breakfast on the Cairns Esplanade tomorrow, Saturday, April 6 at 9am.
This will be set up at the Pirate Ship end of the Cairns Esplanade (northern end).
All nominated teams who decided to make the trip to Cairns regardless of the cancellation have been invited, and it is hoped this may ease some of their disappointment and frustration.
Nate Myles will be in attendance to meet and greet players and supporters and organisers are encouraging all teams and fans to come along.
Organisers are hoping the carnival can be rescheduled for a later date.
