URLQ Residents Squad announced

The Queensland Universities Residents will meet their New South Wales counterparts in the annual interstate clash later this month.

A squad to play the NSW Tertiaries Residents was finalised after last week’s round eight of the Universities Rugby League Queensland’s Wednesday night competition.

Previous players to have met NSW in this game include Griffith Dragons’ lock Matt Butler, University of Queensland Hounds trio Jess Domic, Patrick Robinson and Dominic Heidke, Griffith Logan utility Laithan Joseph and Gold Coast backs Maverick Sooalo and Cody Feltham.

The Queenslanders will travel to Sydney to meet the NSW team at Blacktown Juniors RLFC on Saturday August 24.

They will be coached by two-time URLQ premiership coach Scott Barker, with Queensland University of Technology coach Blake Trace to be his assistant.
