Round 23 NRL charges: Roberts charged for Oates hit

Parramatta lock Nathan Brown, Souths centre James Roberts and Raiders centre Joey Leilua will all be absent until the finals after being suspended for two games.

Brown and Roberts took early guilty pleas on Monday and the Raiders announced on Tuesday that Leilua would also take an early guilty plea.

Brown copped two weeks for a grade two shoulder charge on Bulldogs fullback Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Roberts for a grade two dangerous contact charge on Brisbane winger Corey Oates.

Leilua conceded an eight-point try on Sunday for an incident involving Manly's Reuben Garrick. He was hit with a grade one dropping knees charge which has a base charge of 200 points. 

The charge was reduced to 180 points with an early guilty plea but Leilua had 50 carryover points from a previous charge.

Bulldogs winger Reimis Smith has copped a one-match ban after taking an early plea for a striking charge on Eels winger Maika Sivo. Smith will miss Thursday night's away game against the Cowboys.

Panthers centre Brent Naden and Rabbitohs forward Jaydn Su'A took early guilty pleas for careless high tackles and were each fined $1150.

Su'A also took an early plea for a dangerous contact charge and is free to face the Warriors on Friday night in Auckland.

Titans hooker Mitch Rein will miss one match for a grade one dangerous throw on Storm bench player Brandon Smith while Melbourne centre Curtis Scott collected 90 carry-over points but is free to play after being hit with a grade one dangerous contact charge.
