Tully Tigers Rugby League Club hosted three games at the showgrounds on Saturday to finish the 2019 season, with past and present Tully and Cairns District players, NRL and Intrust Super Cup stars taking part. Games included the FNQ Cyclones v Townsville Pirates Masters match, followed by Queensland Italy Under 21 side v Northern Pride Development, with Pride scoring a 44-32 win. The main game was between Queensland Italy v North Queensland Samoa with the Italian side proving too strong 38-26 to reclaim the Heritage Cup in the third year. It is hoped this will become an annual event on the local rugby league calendar. Photos: Maria Girgenti
