In pictures: Junior clubs honour Mitch Cronin
Former team mates joined family and friends to watch Southern Suburbs Magpies and Eastern Suburbs Tigers face off in the inaugural Mitchell Cronin Memorial Shield at WJ Scott Park Sunday. Named for Intrust Super Cup star Cronin, who tragically passed away earlier this year, he played Cyril Connell Cup for Easts and Mal Meninga Cup for the Magpies. It is hoped the staging of the game between the under 15 Division 1 teams will celebrate the legacy Cronin left behind for his two junior clubs and the part they played in not only his outstanding achievements, but also in moulding a good person and role model.
